It's hard to pick sometimes. I have 2 on Horde and 2 on Alliance. Humm, i would have to say alliance. Why.....well i'm not so sure. I'm just drawn to it. I suppose it might be because i like the way things are layout. (don't ask me to ex plane that one we'll be here for months doing so) But the horde is also fun..........damn...this is pretty hard.
50% Alliance
49% Horde
They are close but Alliance has just a inch more ahead of the horde in my book.

Im alliance because its where my friends were, and where they helped me get established in the game. I really dont have a preference.
I hear a lot of people say they like to play Horde because Horde is the underdog, yet Horde owns in BGs. So i think being on the alliance side offers more of a PVP challenge.
So i guess i stand with BlueBlitzkrieg except i have only gone to lvl 15 with Horde. How about you guaranagurl?

Horde all the way for me.
It is such a nice change away from the traditional cookie-cutter RPG races of human, elf, dwarf, gnome, etc. I really like the Tauren start area and think it is one of the nicest ones to start out at in the game. ( It is nice and expansive, rarely crowded, much better show of the graphics engine in all its shiny glory over some of the more claustrophobic or monochrome start areas. )
I don't really think of Horde as the under-dog myself. Maybe on a PvP server where the population is tilted much more heavily to the Alliance, but in the BGs it really comes down to more of organization and a willingness to work as a team vs running off on your own. Most Horde PUGs I've been on in the BGs have had someone who stepped up and said 'This is the plan, lets kick their pasty pale rumps' and we all pulled togethor and worked things out as a group while watching the Alliance act without a plan and charge the flag in WSG, or the control points in AB, with one or two people at a time and get slaughtered piecemeal.
Plus I'd just be embarassed to be a Night Elf. I tried one out and am still not certain why the entire population of the starting area was female, nude and spending all their time dancing on the steps of that silly tree house of theirs...

A lot of other MMOs have some from of orcs, trolls, undead, and a tauren like thing. So, i guess you haven't tried out many other ones if you don't see that all the races (currently) in WoW can be found on other MMOs as well. If you have then you need to double check again. Not to come off cocky. Sorry, if i did but it's true.
Most naked NEs are 11 or 13 year olds that have nothing to do and a lot of time on their hands. I guess the nakedness is their version of porn. I had a NE and i didn't see one naked player. I guess i got lucky.
Horde the underdog....ahh, i think they are both kind of the same. The horde was a very large force to be reckoned with....and still is.

For the Horde! The horde is very cool, and all the Horde's race are cool. They have cool cities(Thunderbluff is my favorite) and they have much cooler pvp armor and weapons than alliance. The alliance isalso cool, but i like the horde best especially Tauren.

Played Ultima Online, Everquest, DAoC, Guild Wars, FFX1 ( on someone elses account, couldn't see paying for that piece of drek ), Maple Story, Ragnarok Online, Anarchy Online, Eve Online, Space and Beyond, RAN Online, Silk Road Online, City of Heroes and City of Villains.
Yes, I am fully aware that other MMO's have some of the Horde races in them, or even most of them. But how many RPG's, MMO or otherwise, don't have the Alliance races of dwarves, elves, gnomes, and humans. Hard to find something more generic then those.
Though I have to say with the addition of the Draenei (sp?) I find the Alliance to be more interesting ( at least in part because they can be Shamans which I find to just be a fun class to play ).

True but Humans, Elves, Dwarfs, and Gnomes are a staple in all fantasy. Either MMO, Books, Moives. They aren't going anywhere. Gives a human sense for people to relate to.

horde.... it has a unique designs than a generic fantasy than alliance..hehhee.. and it has cookies....

My ex-coworker used to say... what other MMO lets you play a corpse-eating zombie?
As much as I want to level up an alliance char, I just can't swing it past level 15, I guess it takes a sick sadistic mother to love the Barrens. ;-)
